William E. Nelson is a professor of political science. With an earned Ph.D. in political science, his research focuses on urban politics, ethnic politics, black politics, public policy, and electoral mobilization. He is the author of several books, including Electing Black Mayors: Political Action in the Black Community and Black Atlantic Politics.
